Dear Google,
For several days now, Wikipedia has been excruciatingly slow, to the point of it being unusable. I have heard that this happens when you index it, and I’ve noticed that the latest caches of Wikipedia pages are within the last few days. Knowing this, I have been able to determine that you are currently in the process of re-indexing the free encyclopedia. By doing this you are depriving the world of a valuable resource. Please stop. Instead, I suggest that you buy an xServe RAID and ask the wikimedia foundation to copy their articles onto it once a week. Then, the array can be shipped back to a Google office for indexing. This would be cheaper for the Wikimedia foundation, and it would allow for the free flow of information that the Internet and Wikipedia were designed to facilitate.

Ya know that new PoS cleaning Item on TV commercials?

Yeah… I luve it how the dude’s accent starts out as a profound australian accent, slowly evloves into an American Midwest accent and then morphs into a less profound australian accent.

Behold how they get yuppies to buy things.

After finding the FIRST DRAFT of my paper on my USB thumb drive, I began working on it. I got pretty far. I saved it and went to go eat dinner. I came back and OpenOffice had closed. I re-opened the file. Blank. “Shit.”

I think I’ll dig out my grandma’s typewriter to do this if I have another problem.

Update: In my anger at technology, OpenOffice.org, Hard Drives, Bill Gates, keybords and laser printers, I remembered that I had added 1 page of blank to the document for the cover page.

The harddrive that had the only copy of my research paper for english class on it just went titsup, right along with my MP3 collection that was just starting to recuperate from the LAST hard drive crash I had.

Forget “Oh one one eight; nine nine nine - eight eight one nine nine… nine one one nine, seven two five……….three” a better number is Eight Oh oh, Five Five One Three Nine One Seven

Why do the hard drive gods spite me!? RAID server here I come.
