Intel’s Core 2 Quadro Kentsfield: Four Cores on a Rampage
“As we’ve seen, Core 2 Quadro represents a significant step ahead, which AMD cannot counter until its 65 nm quad core processors will be available in H2/2007. AMD needs 4×4 now.”
Generally, same gaming performance, amazing ~80% gains in threaded software like video encoding or HD rendering.
Personally, I’ll wait for an AMD solution with 4 Cores on 1 Chip, a huge ass cache, smaller processes, and an uncapped multiplier.
Maybe the FX-64?
