Music Industry

The Music industry is a scourge upon the world. Executives and talent agents pick a few slightly talented people with a possibility of looking good and then give them some lyrics to sing. The track is then sent into post-production where it’s doctored into something computer-generated and fake. The “artist” is given a makeover and a few lessons in “style” to make an appearence on TRL, where their music video is “voted” to the top by “fans” (Pronounced Myu-Sick Eck-sek-yu-tehv-s) with their Online votes (pronounced Lar`j ch`ecks). Those stupid and superficial enough to beleive that this is creativity and popular culture go home and load their Designer iPoods with the songs from iToons. Others who’s parents are “lame” (Pronounced nott Ri`ch) and dont have broadband go to WalMart and buy DRM laden CDs which are marked up Thousands of times their actual Face and IP value, in order for the executives to have more “votes” for the next “big thing” that will pop out of nowhere in a month, leaving this month’s super-star nothing but a dusty jewl case in the corner.

Real musical talent is supressed by the large Media companies. Linkin Park is in the process of producing a New CD, however lots of pressure from their label makes this hard for the band. One member, Mike Shinoda, has started a project “on the side” of Linkin Park named Fort Minor. Fort Minor is an excellent example of cookie-cutter style music: gangster music with a hint of sadness. Think My Chemical Romace meets 50 Cent. Shinoda, while in the Linkin Park scene often sports Earrings and a non-natural hair color (Blue, Fire Engine Red, Dark Black), while in FortMinor his look has been “cleaned up”: his natural Dark Brown/Light Black hair is on display or hidden beneith somesort of gangster hat.

I cant beleive anyone actually falls for this shit.
