The Cry for Assistance
Today is the first day that I get to see Call For Help on G4Tv. It Seems pretty good… I just wish it were on When I can see it on a regular basis. It’s Great and all, but I’d rather not have it on G-F***.
*FLASHBACK*
It Was 2002. G4 was in a nosedive, nobody was watching their channel! The Executives at Comcast sat down and the following conversation insued:
Executive #1: “Crap… we gotta do somthin!”
All: *Murmer responses of agreement*
about 2 minutes of ideas are thrown around
Executive #2: “What if we buy another network?”
Manager #1: “Can we do that?”
CEO: “What Networks are for sale?”
Intern: “Uhhh…. *spews out list*… TechTV”
Executive #2: “Hows TechTV Sound to everyone?”
All: *Agree optimistically*
CEO: “It’s settled then. We’ll buy TechTV and Merge it with G4″
Their plan went through, and G4 Merged with TechTV, to form G4TechTV. Soon After, the TechTV part of the name was dropped, Along with all of the TechTV Content… leaving them with the same failing network… but with more people able to view it. Up until recently, G4 Didnt care about their “geek” or “nerd” viewers. In a vain attempt to get the nerd demographic back, they put Call For Help (a TechTV Program that moved into Canada during the G4TechTV merger) back on the air, at 11AM.
Although I have no say in this, I still like to rant ^_^
