Tar and Feather the Tax Man

Filed under: Rants — jimX @ 12:00 am

Heh. Todyay is ok… so far. I just wanted to let you all know; The Fairtax Bill is a good thing. Ok, For all of you who have been brainwashed with the idea “Oh my god! 30% sales tax! Oh my god!”,
Shut up and let me put it in stupid terms for you:
How many different taxes do you pay currently? Lets couont:

  1. Sales Tax: Usually around 6%.
  2. Income Tax: About 20%.
  3. Mobile Phone Tax: 2%.
  4. Gift Tax: 25%
  5. Telecom Tax: about 3%.
  6. Petroleum Tax: about 15%
  7. Hidden taxes included in the price of products passed down to the consumer: about 15%

So… lets assume that 5% out of those percentages is used as prosseccing fees, etc. What If We Abolished ALL Taxes?
Well thats simple: The government would go broke. Now what would be the simplest form of getting monetary flow into the government? Well, A Tax. If we instate a national sales tax of 30%… it would be revinue-equal for the governement and you’d end up paying less Taxes in total, and less on Products. “But How can this Be?” Well, Processing your income tax forms costs the government up to $1000.00 every year. WIth the country-wide sales tax, everyone who consumes in our country pays an equal part: Lower class, middle class, upper class, Illigal aliens, tourists, and anyone else that buys anything. No confusing paperwork + everyone paying the same = less taxes for everyone = happy people. Simple as that.

Please write to your state Senitors and tell them that you support house Bill H.R. 25.

I *heart* the ’00s

Filed under: School, Random — jimX @ 12:00 am

Hey. Today, I was watching “I love the 90’s” on VH1… I thought “wow. I’m old. I remember the 90’s.” and then it occored to me:

What is “I love the 00’s” going to be like? What can you find wrong with cellphone envy, hoodies, MP3s, Kazza, Windows XP (bad example), Plasma TVs, the PS2/Xbox/GameCube, the PSP, loud car stereos, H2s, Doom 3, Super Tiny computers, superfast wireless links, and bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, Stone sour and things like that? I wanna see what they do pick out.

OK, school isn’t that bad this year; minimal nazi-style teachers… the cafiteria actually used water on the floor (I hope it was water)… and my shedule isn’t too confusing. But I’d still rather be at home learning somthing that I don’t already know and/or somthing usefull. The cool thing about my schedule is that in all my classes (except for one) there is someone who dosn’t want to murder me *grin*
